Welcome to Downtown Apache Junction

Downtown Apache Junction is transforming! Through the guidance of the Downtown Revitalization and Implementation Strategy, the community is embracing a plan that will create a vibrant downtown that reflects the heritage of the community as it evolves into a 21st Century city.

Five major themes or "guiding principles" drive the plan.

  • Establishing a distinctive image
  • Focusing on both private and public investment
  • Identifying visual improvements
  • Building optimism
  • Providing the framework for a pedestrian zone

The purpose: to create a plan of action that identifies a strategy and framework of goals for creating a downtown or town center that reflects the heritage of the Apache Junction community. The community's vision is to create a central place identified as the center or symbolic "heart" of the city.

The emphasis of this plan is to develop a strategy that is clear in direction, detailed in recommendations and capable of being implemented in small increments. View the Downtown Redevelopment and Implementation Strategy.
